Tufts Health Plan 10K for Women

This Monday, October 11th, is the 34th Annual Tufts Health Plan 10K for Women. If you have the day off (or even if you don't), head down to the Boston Common Parade Grounds to cheer on the 7,500 runners! This race is a great inspiration for women around New England; the motto is "start strong - finish stronger."

On Monday, Tufts Health Plan will present a $10,000 grant to the American Heart Association. This grant is a part of Tufts' five-year plan to donate $50,000 to the American Heart Association and find ways to combat cardiovascular disease and stroke, which are the number 1 and number 3 killers in America. Go Red for Women is the American Heart Association's iniative to raise "awareness of heart disease and [...empower] women to reduce their risk by learning the steps to prevent it." To help, you can spread the motto: "Our Hearts - Our Choice."

Monday will be an inspirational day, as Tufts Health Plan and all the runners will raise awareness about preventing heart disease and empowering the acheivement of fitness goals. Good news if you're a runner, you have until 11AM on race day to sign up for this empowering race. Click here to sign up today.

Good luck to all the wonderful women who are running the Tufts Health Plan 10K for Women on Monday!
