The 27th annual Breeder's Cup is here again. Although this event is not taking place in Boston it still will be watched by many Bostonians here at Suffolk Downs located in East Boston, MA. This is a one of a kind event that spans over the course of two days with a total of 14 championship races. The second day of the races is actually the second richest day in sports with purses totalling around $26 million! Wow! There are thoroughbreds from other countries racing at Churchill Downs this year, located in Louisville Kentucky. This is a huge year end racing event that attracts millions of spectators who travel to wherever it is held year after year. Churchill Downs has hosted it six times so far itself! The horse to watch this year is Zenyatta who is the only thoroughbred in history to win two different races during the breeder's cup. She won the "classic" in 2009 and the "ladies classic" in 2008, let's see if she can win the classic again for the seond year in a row. If you want to catch the action in a fun filled environment try Suffolk Downs where you can make reservations in the Terrace or Legands Bar and grill @617-568-3230. Where the official first race post time is 2:30 pm. For those of you watching from home or your favorite local bar it will be broadcasted live on ESPN and ABC.
