Boston Comedy Festival

The Boston Comedy Festival officially starts today, November 5th. This nine day festival is a premiere for new talent, bringing the freshest and funniest comedians together in Boston. The schedule can be found here. You may not have heard of many of the comedians, but this is a good thing. The festival started to give new comedians a chance to make their debut on the funny-front, and Boston Comedy Festival only picks the best talent.

Tickets to shows range from $15 - $35 and can be bought at the door or online here. Some shows are in Cambridge, but most are at one of these four Faneuil Hall area venues: The Hard Rock Cafe,Comedy Club at Cheers, Hennessy's, or Paddy O's. All of these locations are easily accessible, either by taking the Green line to Haymarket or parking in one of the many garages in the area. After 5pm, parking is usually only $10.

I recommend checking out a round of the Standup Contest; round 1 is at the Hard Rock Cafe on Sunday at 7pm. If that's not for you, check out a list of the comedians here.

So if you're wondering what all the laughing is about, it's because the Boston Comedy Festival is what's going on in Boston this weekend! Go, hear some NEW material, and laugh your pants off.

  2. I went to round 1 of the Comedy Festival at the Hard Rock Cafe on Sunday night. It was a fantastic night out! Hard Rock has great food, cheap drinks, and the comedians were hilarious. There were about 10 comedians competing, which is a great show for $15! I would definitely recommend it.
