According to The Daily Beast, Boston is the smartest city in America! Good job guys! The Daily Beast judged the largest 55 cities in the U.S. based on education and intellectual environment. Here are the stats:
  • Daily Beast IQ Score: 176.68
  • 2009 rank: 3
  • Area population: 4,588,680
  • Bachelor’s degrees: 24%
  • Graduate degrees: 18%
  • Nonfiction booksales: 7,031,000
In honor of our intelligence, why not go check out some of Boston's most well renowned university campuses, including Harvard, MIT, BC, BU, Northeastern and more. Even Boston's only public university, UMass Boston, has a gorgeous seaside view.
